Gypsy Bhalla has a degree in Applied Science, majoring in Remote Sensing and GIS from University of Canberra, Australia. She has worked in the commercial sector in spatial information technology for over ten years focusing on client delivery of imagery and GIS based integrated products before moving to over nine years with Australian Government. She continues to work within the geospatial field, with remote sensing, GIS, and spatial data management using online technologies. Her current role is with Defence, which is balanced with completing a Masters of Applied Science.
Gypsy has been an active member of the SSSI since 2006 and previously ASPRS. She has the following roles in SSSI, Board member, current Remote Sensing and Photogrammetry Chair, ACT Region Committee member and ACT Women in Spatial representative to the national committee. |
